The Foundation's efforts involve a lot of spinning plates, stalking people in the name of security, and shoving genies back into bottles. That's going to hold true no matter where you're assigned, but depending on where you're coming in from, Site-90 might not be what you're used to.
For starters: World-killing monsters are a dime a dozen, but you won't find them here. When you manage to black bag the big bads, it's considered good practice to put them under lock in key in the middle of nowhere rather than in a major population hub. No one wants Godzilla breaching containment in the middle of New York City.
This means that technically, while we do function as a containment site, our capacity is purposefully limited; we keep quite a few Safes and Euclids, and if worse comes to worst, we can hold our own against a few Keters. However, we know—as does the Foundation at large—that there are Sites better equipped for those problems. Ultimately, our purview is operational.
By 1933, Marshall, Carter, and Dark Ltd. already had a foothold in the growing city, and the Foundation was stuck playing catch-up when it came to the local anart and financial esoterica scenes. Nevertheless, our efforts have been consistent, concentrated, and efficient — in this day and age, we stand toe-to-toe with them in New York in ways we couldn't logistically accomplish in London: how's that for upward mobility?
Since before our founding, the Arts and Artifacts Department has been active in the region—they've had to be, given that the struggle of keeping New York's anomalous art scene relegated to Backdoor SoHo has been an ongoing fight for well over a century, with a new creative movement seemingly emerging every week. Add onto that MC&D's high volume of fine anart traffic, and it's no surprise Site-90 has become what is practically the world's most hazardous fine art museum.
At the end of the day, whether it's keeping quiet the anartist cells in Greenwich Village or putting a dent in MC&D's quarterly earnings, we take pride in our swift and proactive approach to security. This city never sleeps, and so neither shall we.

July 01, 1933
Site-90 was formally established on to deal with financial, legal, and artistic anomalies, with Benjamin Hale Esq. appointed the Site's first Director. The majority of funds for construction and operations were secured from the U.S. Government as part of Roosevelt's New Deal on the condition that the Foundation expanded its employment opportunities. We kept that promise, and to this day, Site-90 boasts one of the largest rosters of Level 0 personnel.
April 01, 1980
The demands on Site-90 grew alongside the presence of adversarial groups of interest. Despite several renovations , the original Broad Street location soon became insufficient for the Foundation's needs. So, in April 1980, the Foundation finished outfitting a modern skyscraper for its purposes and fully relocated Site-90 there.
January 08, 2010
Dir. Leon Hartfield was convicted of mortgage fraud after using his art collection—appraised at ██ million USD — to receive approval for a property loan. Internal investigation revealed that Hartfield possessed no such personal collection, and had in fact used objects contained by Site-90 as collateral. Following this scandal, Hartfield was removed from his position, and Dr. Victoria Ward was appointed in his place.
October 19 - 28, 2023
The attempted containment and ransom of SCP-9123 ("Dorian Cillian Sloan", an employee of GoI-012) by MTF Mu-3 led to unexpectedly swift and severe retribution from GoI-012, resulting in ██ casualties and ████ million USD worth of property damage before its release.
Following this incident, Maj. Roger Dunn was reprimanded and placed on six months of leave with reduced pay. SCP-9123's containment procedures were updated to prohibit future ransom attempts.
